Write a scene for a play (10-15 lines) where a character apologizes to
another without using the words “sorry,” “apology,” or “fault.”
Me: I am very remorseful towards you. I wish I had not stolen your dog.
Them: Thank you, dear. I understand she is a very cute dog.
Me: Yes, the cutest. But it is no excuse for me to steal her.
Them: True, true. I forgive you, but I don't know if I can ever trust you around my dog again.
Me: NO! Please let me see her
Them: How can I be sure you won't take her again?
Me: Trust me. I promise.
Them: We will see how it goes; day by day.
Me: I guess that's fair
Them: you know.. you could get your own dog....
Me: Oh my gosh what a good idea!
Them: Would you like me to help you pick one out?
Me: Absolutely. Can we go right now?
Them: Sure
*get a new dog*
